Vector, New Zealand’s largest owner of electricity and gas infrastructure assets, today announced that Nick Astwick has joined the Board as a “Future Director”.
The “Future Directors” initiative was founded by Vector Chairman, Michael Stiassny, Sir Stephen Tindall, and Des Hunt. The initiative aims to give young talented people the opportunity to observe and participate on a company board for a year while giving the company exposure to this talent and the benefits a young mind can bring to the boardroom.
Nick Astwick will be Vector’s second “Future Director”. He follows the very successful “Future Directorship” of Tony Arthur last year.
“Future Directors” participate as a board member in all aspects but have no voting rights and will not form part of the quorum of a board meeting.
Nick Astwick is currently Kiwibank’s Chief Operating Officer. He is a talented senior executive, he joined Kiwibank when Kiwibank was still in the start-up phase and has been a key figure in guiding Kiwibank to becoming recognised as a NZ big bank while still retaining its challenger culture and unique brand identity.
“I am pleased to welcome Nick to Vector’s Board as a Future Director and look forward to working with him” said Vector Chairman Michael Stiassny.
Vector would like to thank Hobson Leavy for its assistance with the appointment of Nick Astwick as a “Future Director”.
