Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) is the membership organisation for the real estate industry, committed to supporting a community of over 17,500 real estate professionals across Aotearoa, New Zealand. REINZ provides a range of services to its members – including professional development and education, data and insights, thought leadership and advocacy, events, and a range of innovative digital resources.
Accountable to the REINZ Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the operational delivery and strategic direction of REINZ. They will be responsible for developing and leading a high-performing and engaged team. Externally, the CEO will champion New Zealand’s real estate sector in the media and public domain, building credible, high-trust partnerships with a range of external stakeholders. The CEO will work in partnership with the property sector to develop and produce high-quality resources, products and information to improve the skills and knowledge of real estate professionals.
The successful candidate will bring seasoned people leadership capabilities with experience engaging with a professional Board of Directors. They will be a natural relationship-builder, able to engage widely with a broad spectrum of stakeholder groups. The CEO will be commercially astute and strategic, with a track record of driving growth through developing innovative, digitally enabled revenue streams. However, they will also be strong on operational execution and driving projects to completion. A robust understanding of the property sector will be highly beneficial; ideally the incoming candidate will bring exposure within the industry.
