Hobson Leavy is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jolon Dyer as Group General Manager, Science Services at The New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research.
As one of the organisations most senior science leaders, Jolon will lead the fee for service research portfolio that delivers significant value and impact to government and private sector customers as well as high quality science.
Jolon is a Scientist by background, completing his PhD (Honours) in Chemistry at the University of Canterbury in 1993. He has an extensive track record in both scientific leadership and the commercialisation of research. Dr Dyer’s science background is in the application of protein chemistry and proteonomics to protein–based foods and materials including dairy, meat, wool, skin and hair.
Jolon has for the last two years been reporting to the executive team of New Zealand’s largest Crown Research Institute, AgResearch.
