Hobson Leavy is proud to be a partner of The Aotearoa Circle, a unique partnership of public and private sector leaders, established to preserve New Zealand’s natural resources and ensure economic prosperity for our future generations. In July, The Aotearoa Circle launched Toitū Tahua: Centre for Sustainable Finance. Toitū Tahua aims to deliver the Sustainable Finance Forum’s 2030 roadmap for a sustainable financial system here in Aotearoa.
Sustainable finance is a key component in a society where nature and all communities thrive. To realise this future, we need to activate large existing capital bases and direct them away from harmful investments towards regenerative ones. Sustainable finance is about leveraging the power and resources of the financial industry. It is about divesting from unsustainable business practices and investing for an equitable, thriving low-emissions economy. Realising sustainable finance requires shifting the entire financial system.
Following an extensive search, Hobson Leavy is delighted to announce that Jo Kelly has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer who will be leading the Centre’s work.
Jo brings an extensive background in sustainability fields as well as a background in Deloitte and deep familiarity with the Sustainable Finance Roadmap.
