Hobson Leavy is delighted to announce that Graeme Watt has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Executive – Finance & Business Insights for St John.
Most recently Graeme was at the Office of the Auditor General, as their interim Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this Graeme spent eleven years at Kiwibank, where his last role was the Chief Financial Officer.
Throughout his career, Graeme has held a number of senior leadership positions and has a depth of experience acquired over 30 years in banking, insurance, financial risk management and governance. He also brings strong reporting, financial leadership, and digital knowledge to the role.
Peter Bradley, Chief Executive commented, “Graeme is looking forward to joining us at an important time for St John, as we deal with the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 and the new commissioning framework for our ambulance service. I have no doubt he will build on the strong foundations put in place by our outgoing Deputy Chief Executive Gary Connolly.”
Graeme is based in Wellington but will spend part of the week in Auckland to build rapport and work with the FB&I team, the ELT, the Board and other key stakeholders.
Please join us in congratulating Graeme on his new role.
