Hobson Leavy is thrilled to announce Dr Matire Harwood and Dr Raewyn Fisher have been appointed as Board Directors for the Heart Foundation.
Dr Raewyn Fisher is an experienced general cardiologist with Te Whatu Ora, and former Director of Cardiology at Waikato Hospital and Midland Cardiovascular Services. Before joining Te Whatu Ora, Raeywn spent over twenty-five years as a Cardiologist for the Waikato DHB. During this time, she also held leadership roles as Clinical Director for Cardiology and then as Director, Integrated Heart Failure Service for the Hospital. Raewyn is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ).
Dr Matire Harwood is the Deputy Dean at the University of Auckland’s Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. Of Ngāpuhi descent, Matire has been a GP for Papakura Marae Health Clinic / National Hauora Coalition since 2014, while for a period of twelve years from 2008 she was the Clinical Lead and Director for the National Haurora Coalition and Tāmaki Healthcare PHOs. Matire offers significant governance experience having sat on various advisory, research and steering committees.
