In New Zealand, the UNICEF National Committee (UNICEF Aotearoa New Zealand) advances child rights and well-being domestically, regionally and globally through raising funds from the general public, private sector and other sources to help our global counterparts support children and families in need, advocacy for children and promoting children’s rights internationally and domestically, and other activities in support of UNICEF’s mission. With a recent digital transformation and highly skilled management team, the organisation is driving innovative solutions to create meaningful change and impact for children. UNICEF Aotearoa New Zealand partners closely with the New Zealand Government, the private sector, and other NGOs to drive strong outcomes for children across the Pacific, in New Zealand and beyond.
UNICEF Aotearoa New Zealand is seeking to appoint up to three Trustees to its Trust Board. The incoming Trustees will have robust experience at governance level; skilled in risk management, with a track record of delivering positive commercial outcomes. Importantly, they will possess an unwavering commitment to UNICEF’s mission-critical agenda of enhancing the lives and rights of children worldwide.
Successful candidates will have expertise in bring specific skills across financial and risk management, commercial investment and value creation, strategic communications, experience within philanthropy or advancement of child rights. They will bring a considered Te Ao Māori worldview, along with expertise in organisational transformation, culture and talent development.
