Hobson Leavy are delighted to announce that Sharyn Reichtstein has been appointed Chief Risk Officer for Tower Insurance.
Sharyn is a seasoned executive with a wealth of experience working in Corporate governance, financial regulation, and risk management.
Over the past two decades, Sharyn has held an array of roles with Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, with the key themes being supervision across Australia’s insurance sector, focusing on policy, and corporate and technical governance. For the past three years, Sharyn has been intricately involved in various projects and investigations, exploring key themes and issues affecting Australia’s general insurance space. These range from transforming APRA’s supervisory and risk assessment framework to exploring the widespread issue of availability and affordability of general insurance for Australians – driven chiefly by house prices and climate change.
Most recently, Sharyn was involved with an IAIS taskforce looking at the role of insurance supervisors in addressing protection gaps across the industry, greatly enhancing her global outlook on the current and future states of the general insurance sector.
Please join us in congratulating Sharyn on her appointment.
